The Five Steps to Care

Give us a call on 01482 655002 – in total confidence, and with no obligation – to discuss your needs and ask any questions you may have.

We’ll visit you at home to discuss your specific requirements, and together we’ll create a Care Plan that’s tailored to your individual needs. If you wish, a family member or friend can join us too.

We carefully match your needs and interests with members of our dedicated team and arrange an introductory meeting – so you know in advance who will be caring for you.

You tell us when you want your care to start. Our whole team (from carers to office staff to management) is then focused on supporting you to remain independent and happy in your own home. Our carers will closely follow your individual Care Plan to ensure you get the level of service and support you want.

As a business, we continuously challenge ourselves on how we can improve the lives of our clients. Our office team is always available to help with any support or advice you may require – we’ll be in regular contact to ensure you’re happy with the care we’re providing, and if you want to change anything in your Care Plan at any point, you can. We’re here to make life as simple and – most importantly – as enjoyable as possible.

Do you require visiting home care, live-in care or specialist care? If you’re unsure of which type of care you may need, give us a call and we can talk you through your options and answer any questions.

Do you require help with medication, bathing and dressing, meal preparation, regular transport to the doctors, or simply some companionship? Our aim is to ensure that everything we do helps you to remain safe, happy and independent in your own home.

Do you just want a trusted companion to visit a few times a week and help out with some of the more difficult household chores, or do you need multiple daily visits so a carer can help you with getting up and dressed, preparing meals etc.? Whatever level of care you need, we can help.

Our care visits range from a 30 minute call to just check in with you and perhaps make you a cuppa, right through to our 24/7 round-the-clock live-in care service. Whatever the timeframe, our care is never rushed – your health and happiness are our priority.

Following our initial home visit where we create your bespoke Care Plan together, we then match you with carers we think you’ll enjoy spending time with. You’re always introduced to them before care starts and can request a change at any time. 

Some of our clients prefer the reassurance and professionalism that a full uniform provides, whilst others prefer a more ‘low-key’ approach of a simple lanyard (particularly when on an outing or leisure activity). Some clients with dementia can often find a person in a uniform quite threatening – by offering this choice we ensure our clients are consulted and comfortable.

Our online care management system allows loved ones to access information on a client’s care remotely*. For example, they can see which carers visited, how long they were at the property, and any notes about the visit. If accompanying a client to an activity, a carer can even share photos from the event. This service is invaluable when family and friends live away, or can’t visit as often as they’d like due to work or family commitments. Being able to keep up to date, or get updates about a loved one’s health and wellbeing gives that extra bit of reassurance and peace of mind. 

 

* Of course, all of the above can only happen with your prior consent. When we create your Care Plan, you can let us know if you would like to give a loved one/s access to your visit information.
